Things We Like This Week

This week has been full of things that have filled us with inspiration, smiles and oohs and ahhhs

Step Back In Time

I love love my vintage clock find from the car boot, it was a total bargain at £2 and don’t you think it’s such a great green? it goes perfectly with my green Thermos, Oooh I love it, it makes me smile.

Food and Photography Inspiration

Photographer Todd Selby has already enhanced our lives ten fold with The Selby where he photographs creative individuals in their personal spaces putting his creative slant on the photos. He is now back with The Edible Selby focusing on the kitchens, gardens, homes, restaurants of more than 40 of the most creative and dynamic figures working in the culinary world. Not only are we enhanced visually, but be prepared to be taken on a culinary journey enhancing those taste buds. You will be taken up a hilltop to dine at an inn without an innkeeper in Valdobbiadene and behind the scenes with Noma chef Rene Redzepi in Copenhagen. Each profile is accompanied with a signature recipe. Selby expertly captures the food we love to eat and the people who passionately grow, cook, pour and serve these culinary delights everyday – in their inspiring surroundings.

Rockaway Taco sure to enhance those taste buds….

Inspiration and Bright Sparks

I have so many beads and bits of jewellery and this week I have really loved these different ways of displaying and making a feature out of your jewellery. If you have any other bright ideas we would love to hear about them..

Florist Friend

I love this purple pom pom flower – I know that can’t be the correct scientific term for this lovely specimen but that’s what the nice florist man called it on his lovely market stall. He did say they look much better on their own, but I couldn’t resist sneakily picking a few bits of Buddleia from our communal garden to go with it, I think it looks quite pretty, but I am definitely no florist!
